C30 Eleocharis parvula, commonly known as Dwarf Hairgrass, is one of the most popular carpeting plants in aquascaping. Native to wetlands and riverbanks, this plant features thin, hair-like blades that spread through runners to create a natural meadow effect.
Compared to Eleocharis acicularis, E. parvula remains shorter and more compact, making it ideal for foreground use, nano aquariums, and Iwagumi layouts. While it can grow in low-tech setups, medium lighting, nutrient-rich substrate, and optional CO₂ will significantly enhance carpet density and growth speed.
With regular trimming and stable water parameters, Eleocharis parvula forms a lush, uniform carpet. It is completely safe for shrimp and freshwater fish, making it perfect for community and shrimp tanks.
