C30 Pogostemon helferi is a highly distinctive freshwater aquarium plant prized for its curled, star-shaped leaves and compact growth form. Native to Thailand, this plant naturally grows along riverbanks and adapts well to submerged aquarium conditions.
The tightly curled leaves form low rosettes that create a textured, spiky appearance, making Pogostemon helferi an excellent contrast plant in foreground and midground layouts. Under good lighting and CO₂ supplementation, the plant stays compact and develops vibrant green coloration.
While it can be grown in low-tech setups, stable water parameters, nutrient-rich substrate, and optional CO₂ significantly improve growth and health. Regular trimming encourages new side shoots and denser growth. It is fully shrimp-safe and fish-safe, suitable for community and display aquariums.
